Davis: Dubbed the leader by Tai. However has a lot to learn and can't seem to keep up the leading like he should b/c of his quick reactions which kind of turns everyone away a little. However soon catches on the importance of leadership especially during the fight against MetalGreymon, but still doesn't fully get it until much later. IMO until after Ken. He reaches his full potential later when against MaloMyotismon.
T.K.: Experience from 3 years earlier. Comprehends more logical explanations than Davis and is more apt to be able to lead the team. Kari usually agrees with his explanations and his suggestions. Still holds on to his promise to take care of Kari no matter what since he is shown holding a guardian hand over her. Also goes to the Dark Ocean to save her when no one else can figure out what is happening. A mentor to the new group. The only thing that keeps him down is worrying about Patamon consistently from when he died against Devimon years before.
Kari: Experience from 3 years earlier. Usually concurs with T.K., but is also a mentor like him to the newer group. She is the one to usually care about others before herself. Ready and willing to fight when needed. Darkness is the only thing to keep her down and needs the help of T.K. at times and later Yolie. Also relies a lot on her brother and Gatomon as well as T.K.
Tai: When in digital world he takes charge in normal leadership though he can't do much he still is able to help out. Key in battle against Andromon and MetalGarurumon.
Matt: Same as Tai. When in Digital World he takes temporary command with T.K.
Sora: Did some leading during the World Tour though Yolie was the rough translator in Russia.
Izzy: Always doing something either in the Digital World or when on the computer. Always takes charge to find an edge against Ken, Arukenimon and Owikawa. He gives out quite a few orders for the team.
Mimi: When a digiport is open in America or traveling to Japan, she is there to help lead. Aka, when against the Roachmon brothers and then talking sense into Digitamamon. Also to help Yolie to realize that they'd need Ken's help when the dam was in trouble.
Joe: Cody's mentor mostly and leads when in digital world the first time since 01 when in the frozen land on File Island. Gives plenty of advice to Cody.
OC (Tim- myself): Always out and about helping out to find edges against Ken. Only one to be able to digivolve Arnamon to champion regularly against the control spires. (Found a way to by-pass the system, unfortunately couldn't find a way for the other digivices). Leading along with T.K. and Kari when with the group. Not found in any episodes. Always trying to make sure nothing comes past the wall of fire. Constantly trying to knock down as many control spires as possible always working overtime with Arnamon and my Dino-Ranger abilities. Goes to Japan to try and stop Arukenimon and Mummymon from kidnappings, but is unsuccessful unfortunately for many. (Can't get it all done! I'm just one person.)
