Okay, new rules are being put in place replacing the old ones:
1. Respect must be given to ALL members, whether old or new. Also no forcing opinions on other people (those that do know who I'm talking about) so please try to while giving your opinion dont push it onto them.
2. Spamming is NO LONGER ALLOWED. Staff members now have the duty of making sure people do not spam nonsense and keep the topic on-topic when they can at least.
3. It is our duty that we promote our forum for new members to join as we could always use more members. Hence, all members are required to advertise this site on their fanfiction.net or the place where they post their fanfics, they are required to please advertise!
4. If either admin or member has a problem with another person on this site they will not post a topic 'I'm leaving' or disgrace other people's names in the forum, which means not even brainwashing other members through e-mail. If it comes to my attention, anyone has done so they will immediately be removed from the site without warning. Problems should be solved between the people the issue is between not getting everyone involved, sorry if this rule is harsh but a rule is a rule.
Oh, in terms of obeying the rules, one will get three warnings which if they ignore they will be banned for a certain period of time then given a second chance. If they blow that they will be removed.

But this forum isn't big enough to need a 'no spam' rule. Anyway, we liked going off topic, didn't we?
I don't really see where these rules have come from or why you have felt the need to impliment them.

How can you say that when you haven't even asked us about it?
Also why should every member have to advertise the forum? I can see that advertisement is good but having it as an actual rule is a bit much isn't it?

I didnt mean it as in if you dont advertise you'll be banned but those who do advertise may get a promotion or extra credit.
Going off-topic isn't good, you know LP if you had been setting a better example of NOT going off-topic and DP you as well, then maybe people wouldn't complain about these new rules. From now on, both of you as staff members must keep tabs, proper tabs.

Including YOU!
Sorry, but you haven't given us one reason to respect these rules, including them you've implimented them without talking to anyone about it. There are actually quite a few reasons including 'generic is not good'. When you have a forum that can get away with not having something that most have then what is the point in having it? It's like saying that all cartoons should use the cal-arts style just cause Disney made it. In actual fact Tex Avery couldn't have created his brilliant industy changing style had he been forced into that crack. (Not that anyone here is at that level of genius.) Also, not having one allowed us to have a sence of community and finally (for now, I don't hope), have you ever written an essay. Having done A-levels and GCSEs I've written plenty. There's this thing that I'll call inter-relationships that means that one thing can relate to annother but not directly. In my essay of the polictal and social implications within the Catcher and The Rye, I was able to talk about all sorts or things not directly related. I'm not going to patenise you by finishing that point.

*CLAP CLAP*
I would like everyone to cool their heads. Take a deep breath, and think happy thoughts. If you believe in fairies that would be good, too.
First off, I believe the three-warning system before banning is of good judgment. Yes, that was me sucking up to the admin; but to make her more receptive to the second point.
Second, I would like to ask Amna to try and discuss these rules with us before implementing them. It would at least be respectful to those of us who have been on the forum for a much longer time, no?
Third, if Amna refuses to budge and these rules, specifically the one against spam, is implemented, then I would respectfully ask for a Spam Board dedicated to all the nonsense we all love to talk about. Like cake.

I DO like the three-strike system but the no spamming rule is like making a rule in soccer where you cannot hit the ball with the head to a smaller extent

Wait a second Amna you can't go blaming LP and DP for spamming because to be fair you're no better, at least they were here!
