The reason Takato wore the goggles was because in their dimension digimon was a T.V. show, and Tai and Davis were his favorite ones so he followed in their steps as a goggle head even if he's like T.K.

That kinda was the topic. Other seasons and Takato is part of tamers.
I seem obsessed with who voices who, probably for a lath (sometimes) like Terriermon is voiced by Mona Marshel, who also voiced Izzy (Mona is a girl) LOL! ;D

Well and you know the funny part about season 3 that makes me wonder if there was going to be a cross between 02 and season 3, is that Davis was the PA at the end of each show. Makes you wonder a bit. Also again, you have Ryo. He's appeared in both as well.

Forgot another important detail, you had Mephistomon in the movie with Omnimon fighting him in that dimension, in which Omnimon states that he was created from the leftover data from Apocylamon. Talk about another proof. But one could wonder if that was just a dub error, but they showed Apocylamon very briefly for like, a flash of a second. So something's gotta give.

in fact that is true, here is Mephistomon's profile:
A Fallen Angel type Digimon which took on the form of a huge ram. He was born from the remaining mental data of Apocalymon just as soon as others thought he was dead, taking on a dark existence. His own goal, like Apocalymon, is the extermination of all other life forms. His strength lies in his black magic, and his nature bears no cruel peaks. But he's full of intellect and likes to use tactics in battle. He likes to attack the enemy with "Black Sabbath", which chants a dark incantation and prays upon the living dead to feast on the living. Those who hear this incantation will shortly die. His special attack is "Death Cloud", which creates a dark cloud that corrodes those it covers.
So that wasn't a dub mistake, it is all true
About that Davis was the PA at the end of each show in season 3, that was just a dub thing, in the original version it was a non-main character narrating, just a simple narrator.
Only the small sneak previews of the next chapters were narrated by one of the tamers, most times Takato

Yeah guess so, another thing about tamers is that the teacher sounds like Kari.^^ Bit of a coincidence because she wanted to be a teacher when she grew up.

Voices can be quiet fun to mess around with. I know that in the original of 02, Chichos and Miyako have the same voice (as do Iori and Amadimon). Don't know anything about Tamers, but I found out what I did about 02 of the Japanese version of wikipedia... yes, the ever reliable sourse wikipedia.

Yeah and that's what happened in the US dub of Tamers, Takato's Teacher's english voice actress was the same one who dubbed Kari in 02, that's the reason why the voices sound similar, because it is the same actress, just like in Japan Kari's voice actress voiced the Patamon of Frontier ^^

Cool, another funny thing in the tamers English dub is when Kazu (dub name) first sees Takato with goggles he says: "What's with the goggles Yolie?"

lol, yeah.
a lot of people thought the teacher was Kari, but it's actually not her.
And i do think wikipedia is reliable(well most of the time.) that's how i found out about megidramon yesterday. (because i had no idea what he was called.)
