correct so take one out if the others do not inherit the crest then the Digital World will fall

well i suppose us OC Digidestined need crests mor importantly then Davis Cody and Yolei otherwise our partners may not handle things at the Champion level y'all agree

It depends on which universe your OC exists. Crests aren't used in Frontier and Tamers.

well this could be rather long so brace yourself:
In Adventure Gennai said that the original Digidestined were five other kids.....my theory is that the original Frontier lot (bar Koichi) were those original digidestined then when they saved the Digital World that released the power of the crests, gennai and the sovereigns also because if my memory is right then there was a time lapse within this series and no time passed while they were in the Digital World or at least there was no mention of it
then along came the adventure and adventure 02 lot which then got rid of that time lapse so everything that happened in 02 other then the 25 years epilogue happened in this space of time
then the Tamers which if you think of it did not have that time lapse in this
and then Savers slots in afterwards
and then too conclude is the 25 years later when everyone now knows of Digimon after everything that had happened
what do you think this is the basic form i will at some point write out a timeline on this once i have finished Savers

By time lapse, do you mean the dis-synchronized time between the Digital world and the real?

well the fact that no time passed (or very little) when the Adventure Digidestined were in the Digital World that is a time lapse

Ah, an explanation's provided for that. Apocalymon's the cause of that time disturbance, where time in the digital world is sped up considerably. After his deletion, time re-synchronized between the two worlds; as we see in 02.

Yeah, Ryo's a strange one. But consider the technologies at the time which imply that the series happen in more-or-less the same time. (give or take a few years)
