Mimi hopped down the street she was inviting all her friends to her birthday party and was really excited to see them after four years. But most of all she was excited to see Joe. She had always had a crush on him before and wondered if he felt the same way.
It had been 4 years and Mimi knew Joe would have probably changed a lot. She had changed too another person she was excited to see was the digimon especially Palmon. Mimi missed her dearest friend a lot.

Joe was checking his mail when he saw the invitation to Mimi's birthday, he smiled in a soft yet happy smile. It has been 4 years and he had wondering how she would look now, for a long time he had a crush on her. What did she had on those beautiful eyes of her, on those so femenine and gentle smiles of hers, on that sweet voice, and mostly on that sincere heart of hers that made him feel that way about her? He didn't knew and didn't cared, the only thing he cared about was that he loved her. But who could fall for a school bookworm such as him?
"Mimi... wonder if you feel the same way about me?" Nah... She deserves better than me, she deserves the best" he thought as he looked at a picture of the whole group. Mimi was standing besides him, smiling for the camera. It was a picture the group snapped before she moved to America and taking the chance TK was visiting his brother Matt so the original group of 8 digidestined from the first adventure was reunited.

Mimi could not wait. Palmon was coming soon in a few hours and tonight Joe and the others would be coming as well but most of all she was excited to see Joe after such a long time. She had missed him and they had shared so much together. In the first adventure when she didn't want to fight Joe understood her and stayed back to protect her and they had confessed their thoughts at that time to each other.
Gomamon hopped on his paws. He was going to give Joe a surprise when he arrived at his house. He jumped through the digiport onto Joe's bed and laughed at his partner's shocked expression.
"Hey Joe!" Gomamon cried.

Joe almost fell of his chair when he saw Gomamon comming out of the digiport. "Gomamon!" he exclaimed when he finally got out of his shock and got up to rush to the bed and hug his partner.
"What a nice surprise buddy, how have you been? how's the things going in the digiworld?" he asked his partner as he smiled. Not only he would see Mimi again, he also got to see his partner again too.
Meanwhile on Mimi's house Palmon came out of the digiport landing on Mimi's bed as she decided to come early to surprise her. "Mimi!" she said happily and with a big smile and rushed to hug her partner.

"I've been great Joe! The digiworld well its not exactly the safest place these days but the other digimon and I are safe so I guess there's nothing to worry about. How are you Joe? Did you tell Mimi you think shes cute?" Gomamon said smiling. He was so happy to see Joe again it had been awhile.
"Palmon!" Mimi cried happily hugging Palmon close to her.
"How are you? Im so glad you came early I wonder if Joe will come early too." Mimi said blushing a little.

Joe blushed when Gomamon asked him about Mimi "Gomamon! Is not that easy, Mimi is so beautiful, so special, you really think she would fall for someone like me?" he asked a with a sad tone but then dropped it off.
"But forget that now, what's going on in the digiworld that things aren't precisely peaceful?" he asked as he didn't liked when the digiworld and the digimon got menaced.
Meanwhile with Palmon and Mimi, Palmon giggled at Mimi's comment.
"You sure are deep in love with Joe, you should tell him your feelings, I'm sure he would feel the same about you" Palmon said cheerfully, she really could understand Mimi, she had feelings for Gomamon for a while now and yet she haven't confessed him how she feels.

"Well there's a new evil in the digital world who likes to beat digimon but never mind that Joe I know how you feel. I feel that way about Palmon too but I know she doesnt like me. Besides who would like an idiot like me?" Gomamon said sighing.
"If its that easy why dont you tell Gomamon your feelings?" Mimi said with a small smile.

Joe couldn't help but feel bad for his partner and smiled softly. "Hey buddy, you aren't an idiot, you have a big heart and are a great friend, you have a lot of qualities that can make any girl fall for you" he said comforting his partner.

"Yeah but not Palmon. Shes too good for me anyway but I know Mimi likes you in that way Palmon said she's always talking about you." said Gomamon with a small smile.
"Oh of course he does its just I dont think hes the most confident when it comes to girl digimon." Mimi said softly

Joe blushen when he heard Gomamon. "Really? Palmon did told you that? and why you think you aren't good for Palmon? Guess we both share the same insecurity buddy" Joe said while caressing his partner's head gently.

"Well for one she could probably like one of the other digimon like Agumon and Gabumon I mean they are some of the strongest in our team and she might admire them. Dont worry Mimi likes you, you just need to build up the courage and ask her out already." Gomamon said smiling slightly as he looked at his best friend.
