Okay! So I'm sitting here listening to the Cincinnati Reds game against the Brewers and I decide I should start working on my Digimon/Power Rangers Digital and Dino-Thunder crossover, and I had to search the D-3 since I forgot for a moment what it's functions were. So I searched it and when it came up on DigimonWiki I found what I needed, but searched further for any more information. That's when after I looked at the D-Arcs I went back up and that's when Digimon Adventure 02: Tag Tamers showed up. So I clicked on it and this is what came up: Ryo and Ken's picture from when they were young, plus a game feature for a nintendo game! They had an adventure together before 02 happened. This confirms our suspicions from when we saw Ryo once during the movie and then when it showed Ken getting hit by the Dark spore in the flashback during 02. Plus, MaloMyotismon said he's the main antagonist for the Dark Spore in Ken along with Oikawa. But it says Milleniumon dispersed them. Are we missing something? Why? wasn't there a movie made for this? How in the world did Ryo end up with the Tamers and the digital world got entirely different in the other world? When I was reading The Collect Card's continuing series earlier today finishing up the College years he brought up an interesting thing. Zhuquiamon's region has never been revealed in the series. While we've been to Server and File Island, could Zhuquiamon's region have been later made by Shibumi? So many interesting points that we should probably figure out. So, are the Tamers in a different universe from the original digidestined or are they actually close to each other, but with entirely different digital worlds? Sounds tacky, but I hope you know what I mean. |

What I find really interesting is that Ryo had the D-3 before Davis did! He also had Veemon first! Note that he is now officially the only Digidestined and Tamer. Very interesting. Now to figure out how Ryo got Cyberdramon later.

actually it was Milleniumon the one who spread the spores, if you check Ken's memories in 02, one of them shows him and Ryo watching Milleniumon exploding into data and is when the dark spores got launched, one was going directly at Ryo but Ken shoved him aside.
Actually Ryo and Tai know each other too, since on the first videogame before Tag Tamers, Ryo got temporary partnered with Tai's Agumon to rescue Tai and the other digidestined who got captured by their past enemies who revived when Kimeramon appeared in the 01 timeline when Tai and the others were facing Machinedramon. Kimeramon took the almost dying Machinedramon and did a dna digivolution resulting in Milleniumon, he revived the other enemies such as Devimon, Etemon, Myotismon and the Dark Masters they had defeated so far and they captured the digidestined and digimon except Agumon who managed to escape with Tai's Digivice, there Gennai contacted Ryo and brought him to the digiworld with Tai's Digivice, so now was Ryo's duty to rescue the others.

Wow! I never knew that. There's so many things that have gone unseen by the digimon community. That's amazing, thanks for clearing that part up. It would have been nice if they had made a movie for it. and Kimeramon was was really around before Ken became the digimon emperor?

is just that Tag Tamers is the second videogame starred by Ryo Akiyama released for Bandai's handheld system, the wonderswan, the firt game or more like games were called Digimon Adventure Anode Tamer and Digimon Adventure Cathode Tamer, the Tai Ryo met was the 01 Tai along with the 01 digidestined, think of this two games like how the Pokemon games are, you know two editions but basically the same game plot wise, there was later a special edition of this game for the color version of Wonderswan which had the two games in one cartdridge and was called Digimon Adventure Anode and Cathode Tamer Veedramon edition since instead of partnering with Agumon you got partnered with a Veedramon, this one was the only videogame of Ryo that appeared in english

Cool, thanks! About Ryo, I think from what I've read that I think there was enough interest to bring him back, since he was so popular in the games. Plus, he was there before everyone else, so I'm not sure how he got back into the digital world. It seemed like he had been gone from the real world a long time, so who knows how long he was there. And the digital world is probably the same, since it's always changing because of the villians + day to day life. Kind of like Earth, you know?

Has anyone played these games?
I'm thinking that once my Japanese is good enough of getting them... if I see a console and games on ebay... unless anyone knows of a good alturnitive. Especually Tag Tamers as I'd like to know more about Wormmon and Ken before Ken became the Kaiser.

well I have the games and a emulator for Wonderswan, I play them happily on my PC XD
Now for you all, here is a video split in two parts of me playing Digimon Anode/Cathode Tamer Veedramon version so you can see the very first game of Ryo in action, again this one is the color version that has both games in one (you can chose which game you want to play) and where Ryo got partnered with a Veedramon ^^

How about when I get Tag Tamers (which will be in quite a while as I want to have good enough Japanese first) I'll see if I can do the same... but with subtiles.
I like that on the second one for the stopped picture image (is there a name for that?) it went for a Tailmon. ^-^

yeah, also have you noticed that two times that Patamon got the Angewomon variable the move was aimed at Gatomon to raise her VPs? even on videogames they keep helping each other lol
Anyhow back on topic I'll try to make some videos of the other Ryo games for you to watch ^^
