Inspired by two things,I've decided to create this thread though I've no idea how well it will work. I decided to post after reading George Hutcheon's articals on pokemon... which have been out for a while but I wanted to be sure I could say something... though I can't really... whatever. Now a possible digimon one... that I can say a little bit on... madamepika.deviantart.com/favourites/#/d2egnlzI think that the creator definatly had a point. Firstly the creators of digimon (though this is more likely if Impmon was a character created for the anime which I honestly don't know) would have done most likly rescreached the history of animation. Secondly the Betty Boop cartoons (which until the Hays code was put in place that bestiatly was wrong [I'm tempted to say that it makes sence in the cartoons but...] had Bimbo as a secondary character) were a known influence of anime ledgend Osamu Tezuka. Thirdly some of the reasons that the OP listed. So yeah, any ideas on the origin of digimon? I've thrown someone else's idea out for talking now.
