I'll carry on resisting the urg to make a non humourous comment to that.

Instead, I'll just talk about what I forgot to mention the first time.

I vagueally remember seeing the first episode dubbed as a kid for whatever reason. Back then, I hated digimon for being a pokemon ripoff, since I was too immature to see well a long long list of things.

Tamers, watching the first episode now, shows one of the biggest differences from pokemon: marketing and experimentation. I mean think about it. What do you do when you have a franshise that is succesful due to it's characters however the biggest critisism is that it's too much like pokemon.

What do you do?

Replace all the characters and make them use digimon to fight other digimon.

It's something pokemon's marketing department would never let them do. It's a level of experimentation that from a kid's anime is really impressive. That's why even though I've only seen one flipping episode, Tamers is one of my favourite seasons...
but not enough to have over raised my hopes.

I agree with your comment MP. It is extremely risky to do something like that. But I think it's the way they went about it is why it was so popular (for a year and then Frontier came out and they acted like Tamers never existed....). And yeah Pokemon wouldn't do that. I think Pokemon without Ash would be....I don't know what it would be. It's a scary thought. That's why he needs to stay. XD

Although his voice actor/ voice drop change was already a scary thing..... O.O

but see that was one of the few things about Pokemon that made sense he was ten when the journey started I think he should age somewhat

i don't mind that. i just think that they could've chosen a less CREEPY/awkward voice for him. i was scared the first time i heard him talk....i wanted the old voice back.....

i've gotten a little bit used to it now though....

In all actuality I can really see 03 being in the same universe as the original digidestined for the fact that it was a T.V. show, like Create Card started with the College Years. I mean think about it, the 01/02 characters finding out that they and their Digimon was a T.V. show wondering how that would happen. In actuality it could actually happen because they only ever focused on Azulongmon's region and never on the other 3 harmonious ones until season 3 and really the only two regions we see is Baihumon and Zhaquiamon's region and the other two just show up. It's possible that their regions could've been much newer regions, but was the main part that the D-Reaper was situated and was put along with Calumon. In fact I plan to focus on a lot of that with my Digital and Dino-Thunder Power Rangers fanfic. Calumon is going to be in that fic.
